Since there is no fragmentation, there is nothing that needs to be done to care for the hard drive. The thing that dude got us shown here happens every time when you suddenly have power outage in your home and you power on the console afterwards. So all in all, you failed, dude. Geez why do people care so much about the dust? An actual defragmentation will take quite a while and will have your HDD running alot better.
If you remove your HDD, connect it to a computer via a SATA adaptor and check for bad sectors, you will be pretty amazed at how many you will find.

Looks nasty also but thanks for the video. To reiterate, you do NOT want to chose option 2, that will remove all of your personal setting, and probably delete pictures and downloaded games.
You do NOT want to chose option 5 because that will reset your PS3 to its factory out-of-the-box settings. Luckily I unplugged it and replugged it and it started again.

Shut up. Does this work when my PS3 says it was shut down improperly and the file may be corrupt? I let it search everything. It says it could take hours depending on if it finds anything and needs to fix it.
But it takes less than 2 minutes and then reboots the system, but during this system reboot, my PS3 freezes before the main screen can load. Like, it does the whole PS3 logo, does the disclaimer thing, and the sparkly screen haha comes on and then freezes. Any idea?
I play zombies and from time to time it just freezes out of no where do you know how to fix that? Its so annoying gets me frustrated.
